Going to the Orlando area for an upcoming business trip or family holiday? If you're headed towards Orlando, Florida, you're going to need to get some Orlando airport transportation. There are plenty of ways to get from the airport to your hotel or other destination. It all depends what sort of experience you are looking for.

If you just need basic, minimal transportation, there are plenty of shuttle buses and van services that will come pick you up at the airport once you've gotten off of your plane and gotten your bags. While it's always best to call and schedule a pick up in advance, there are some van services that literally wait around the airport, looking for someone who hasn't made alternate transportation. Beware, these services may charge more than others.

You'll also be paying a much higher rate than you may expect due to the nature of the city of Orlando being such a tourist attraction. Then you'll have to worry about putting gas in the car and as a Floridian, I can tell you that gas is expensive in Orlando, no matter how much the rest of the world is paying per gallon, you'll pay an arm and a leg for gas in Orlando.

If you want to arrive in style, you have two choices. You can rent either a limo or a town car to pick you up from the terminal. You'll have someone waiting for you at baggage services that will assist you in retrieving your bags from the carousel and will carry them to your vehicle. You will arrive at your final destination in class. This is definitely the more expensive way to go but if you've got the money to do it, it really is nice to show up in town and have someone waiting on you hand and foot, right out of the gate.

When you get a rental car you're also going to need to consider the fact that you're going to have to buy gas in Orlando. Coming from Florida, I know first hand how expensive gas is in this resort town. You will of course have to also pay for parking at the different theme parks that you go to.

The hotels in the area all have van service but unfortunately, most van service will only take you within five to ten miles of the hotel and usually, chances are good that your hotel will be outside of that radius. Plus you could be standing around for up to an hour for your hotel shuttle driver to show up. When you get to Orlando, you'll be doing plenty of waiting in lines at theme parks; don't start your journey on the wrong foot.

When getting around Orlando, itself, you'll be just fine with transportation that is offered by your hotel. When you're looking for Orlando airport transportation, the cheapest and simplest way to go is with a van service.

You've got choices when it comes to Orlando airport transportation. Make sure you get your money's worth and have a blast while you're in Orlando!
